Tours Arequipa 3D/2N – Tour Puno Arequipa

We will depart from Arequipa at 7:30 AM on the road to Yura, heading towards the Colca Canyon. Along the way, we will admire the snow-capped volcanoes of Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu.

We will enter the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to vicuñas and alpacas. We will observe guanacos and high-Andean birds in their natural environment at over 3,800 meters above sea level.

We’ll stop in Patahuasi for hot infusions like muña or coca. We’ll cross the highest point of the route in Patapampa: 4,900 meters above sea level. We’ll see the active Sabancaya volcano and take photos of the mountainous landscape. We’ll arrive in Chivay around 1:30 PM to continue on to Coporaque.

We’ll have lunch in Coporaque, enjoying typical dishes made with fresh Andean ingredients. We’ll visit its colonial church, the main square, and the town’s cultural center. You can choose between a 45-minute walk along pre-Incan terraces or visiting ruins in San Antonio.

We can relax in the Sallihua hot springs or explore nearby pre-Columbian tombs. We’ll end the day with a local dinner and overnight stay in a rural family home. We’ll share time with the community and sleep surrounded by Andean tranquility.

We’ll have breakfast as a family and then depart early for Cruz del Cóndor, one of the most breathtaking spots on the Arequipa Tours .  From this viewpoint, we’ll witness condors soaring less than 20 meters away. We’ll admire the Colca Canyon, which plunges to depths of over 3,400 meters above sea level. On the return journey, we’ll see pre-Incan agricultural terraces and traditional villages in the valley.

After lunch, we’ll depart for Puno, crossing the southern Peruvian highlands. We’ll stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes (Volcano Viewpoint) to admire the apachetas (stone cairns) and snow-capped peaks. In Patahuasi, we’ll enjoy hot herbal teas and see vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. We’ll continue to Lagunillas, where we’ll observe flamingos and Andean ducks.

We’ll take photos of the high Andean lagoons from the panoramic viewpoint. We’ll finish our journey by arriving in the city of Puno in the afternoon. We’ll bid farewell to the canyon and the valley with gratitude and awe.
