SILLAR ROUTE + CULEBRILLAS WALK
Pick up from your Hotel at 08:50 am in the city of Arequipa and we will transfer you to the Cerro Colorado district, because here is the most famous white Sillar quarry of Arequipa, the Añashuayco Quarries in current exploitation and we will observe live the ancestral process of elaboration and extraction of major blocks and carving of ashlar that the stonemasons carry out with simple tools such as the pry bar, the jump rope and the chisel.
Likewise, you will be able to observe the mega carved in a cliff the front of the Church of the Company of Jesus, demonstrating singular skill and dexterity made by the master builders themselves in which we can take good photos.
Then we will take a 20-minute walk through the enigmatic Quebrada de Culebrillas, an imposing virgin quarry on a narrow path formed by the erosion of water and wind over time, at the end of the walk we will be able to find Petroglyphs, in addition to experiencing sensations of majesty and mystery.
Return to the city of Arequipa.
