Day 1: Cusco – Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes
Pick-up at 07:30 am from your hotel in our mobility, we will head to the sacred valley of the Incas to Ollantaytambo where you will enjoy beautiful landscapes of the area. We will make a brief stop to stock up on the last provisions.
Ascend to the Málaga pass at 4400 meters above sea level, to appreciate the snow-capped peaks of Veronica and Salkantay. From this place we will begin the descent through the high jungle to Santa Maria and then through the valley of the Urubamba river to reach Santa Teresa, we will make a stop for lunch. Continuing our journey by car to the Hydroelectric Central, with our Guide we will begin our 3 hour walk on a flat path to Machu Picchu town, also on the way we will have a view of Huayna Picchu and some Inca constructions of Machu Picchu.
Dinner and overnight in Aguas Calientes.
Day 2: Machu Picchu – Hydroelectric – Cusco
4:30 am. Start of the walk to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary 1 and a half hour walk and appreciate the sunrise, the other option is to take the bus that leaves at 05:30 am every 10 minutes to arrive early. Then we will have a 2 hour guided tour to the most important places such as the Guardian’s House, Sacred Plaza, Solar Clock, Condor Temple, Sun Temple. Then you will have free time to explore more of the Inca city.
11:00 am Maximum time to start the return walk to Aguas Calientes town and then to Hydroelectric 3 hours maximum walk. (Be on time at Hydroelectric 2:00 pm) there is a possibility of returning by train from Aguas Calientes to Hydroelectric (only schedule 1:00 pm extra cost); In Hydroelectric our mobility will be waiting for you to return to the city of Cusco, arriving around 9:30 pm.
