1 DAY: AREQUIPA – CHIVAY
Pick up from your Hotel 07:30 to 08:00 am
We begin our excursion by taking the Yura highway, we will enjoy majestic views of the volcanoes that surround the city, and then enter Pampa Cañahuas (National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca), the natural habitat of South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and huanacos.
We will make a stop in Patahuasi, where you can observe the geological formations and drink an infusion of coca to acclimatize to the altitude, then we will continue the trip passing through the Bofedales and Tojra Pampa (viewpoint of the Andes highest point of our trip located at 4910 m.a.s.l. Here you can see different volcanoes (Ampato with 6288m.s.n.m.) (Sabancaya volcano 5976m.s.n.m.) and (Hualca Hualca volcano 6025m.s.n.m.).
We will have lunch in the beautiful town of Chivay in the afternoon you will rest in the Hotel of your choice and you can also visit the medicinal thermal baths.
2 DAY: CHIVAY – CRUZ DEL CONDOR – AREQUIPA
After having a nutritious breakfast we will go to the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor where you can see the majestic flight of the condors a few meters away and we will appreciate in all its magnitude one of the deepest canyons in the world on the way back we will be able to observe different terraces and pre-Inca terraces and visit some small towns to see churches from the Colonial Era.
After lunch we will undertake the return to Arequipa.
