Trekking Colca Canyon Oasis 3 Days / 2 Nights

DAY 1: AREQUIPA – CHIVAY – CRUZ DEL CONDOR – SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO

We pick you up at 3:00 in the morning from your hotel and we leave for Chivay. There we will have breakfast and then we will go to the “Cruz del Cóndor”, where we will appreciate the majestic and fantastic flight of the condors in one of the deepest canyons in the world. Then we will continue for about 20 minutes to the San Miguel viewpoint from where we will have an impressive view of the Colca Canyon. Later we will descend for four hours to the first community of San Juan de Chucchu, place of our lunch and we will rest in family bungalows.

DAY 2: SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO – SANGALLE OASIS

7:00 am after a nutritious breakfast we start our walk passing through the towns of Cosñirhua and Malata, observing part of the flora and fauna of the place, then we will descend to Sangalle (Oasis) where we will have lunch and have a free afternoon to enjoy the pool with spring waters temperature 25 degrees and we will spend our second night.

DAY 3: OASIS SANGALLE – CABANACONDE – CHIVAY – AREQUIPA

5:00 in the morning we get up to start our walk to the town of Cabanaconde. The approximate time of the ascent will be about 3 hours and about 1,100 meters in a vertical line. After breakfast in Cabanaconde we will go to the different ones where you can see the entire Colca Valley, the different Inca terraces and terraces and we will also visit the traditional town of Maca that has a colonial church. Then we will continue to the thermo-medicinal baths that have a temperature between 38° and 40° C in Yanque on the banks of the Colca River. Then we will go to the town of Chivay where we will have a delicious buffet lunch. Return to the city of Arequipa, with some stops such as the National Reserve to see Alpacas, Vicuñas, Llamas and the viewpoint of the Misti and Chachani volcanoes, arriving in Arequipa at approximately 5:00 p.m.
